Our story
Project 33 Gracie Marie CIC is a Community Interest Company created to support vulnerable individuals and families within the local community who may be experiencing hardship, difficult life circumstances, or challenges that have made maintaining their home environment less of a priority. We recognise that life can bring unexpected situations such as financial difficulties, health issues, family changes, loss, mental wellbeing challenges, or other personal circumstances that can make everyday tasks feel overwhelming.
At Project 33, we believe that a home is far more than simply a place to live. A home should provide comfort, security, stability, and a sense of belonging. The environment around us can have a significant impact on our physical health, emotional wellbeing, confidence, and overall quality of life. When people are facing difficult periods in life, their living spaces can sometimes reflect those challenges and become a source of additional stress rather than a place of comfort.
Our aim is to improve health and wellbeing by transforming living spaces into environments that feel safe, comfortable, welcoming, and truly homely. Through practical support and meaningful action, we strive to create positive changes that help people regain pride in their homes and improve their day-to-day wellbeing. Sometimes even small changes to a living environment can have a powerful impact, creating spaces that bring comfort, hope, and a renewed sense of positivity.
The inspiration behind Project 33 comes from our founder, Gracie Marie, who lived in 33 different properties throughout her life at the time of founding Project 33. Through these experiences, she developed a deep understanding of how much a home environment can influence a person's wellbeing, emotional state, and sense of security. Moving between many different homes gave her first-hand insight into the importance of creating spaces that feel warm, welcoming, and personal.
Over time, Gracie developed a natural ability and passion for transforming environments into places that felt like home regardless of size, circumstance, or limitations. This experience became the foundation for creating Project 33 - an initiative built on compassion, understanding, and the belief that everyone deserves to live in an environment that supports their wellbeing and allows them to feel safe and valued.
Project 33 exists to bring practical help, restore dignity, and create meaningful change for those who need it most. Through the dedication of volunteers, supporters, and the wider community, we aim to continue creating positive impacts that extend beyond physical spaces and into the lives of the people we support.
